Cleaning your auto glass can be difficult and down right impossible to clean sometimes. People often complain about unwanted steaks or film build up on their glass. In fact, there are some people that claim to not smoke in their vehicles but yet have a film residue build up. There are a couple of easy solutions that will save you time and keep your windows streak free.
First, lets address the film build up. This is called vinyl migration. This is normal procedure but, it is one that unfortunately will reoccur. The film build up is coming from your dash and migrating to your interior windshield. Using an inferior glass cleaner will only make the problem worse and film to streak.
If you have smoke residue build up on your glass you will run into the same problems. Correcting the problem is easy. First, make sure you have a clean micro fiber towel. Next, make sure you have a concentrated glass cleaner. Most glass cleaners on this nature will contain alcohol, which will have the strength to cut through the film. Take the concentrated glass cleaner and spray have the windshield. Let the glass cleaner work and cut through the film, which should take around 40 seconds. Finally, wipe the half of the windshield in side to side motions. Flip the towel over and repeat the process. Once you have finished that half of the windshield do the same for the other half.
